Privacy Policy
Merchanting helps businesses make and run their posts, ads, pages and emails. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, how long we keep it and how you can delete it.
What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address and an account identifier from the sign-in provider.
- What you give us. Your business name and website address, the files you upload, the settings you choose and the content you write or approve.
- Your public website. When you enter a website, we read its public pages, styles, scripts and web app manifest to learn the brand’s words, colors and products. We never sign in or sign up on your site.
- Accounts you connect. When you connect a service such as Shopify, Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Klaviyo or Zendesk, we receive the access you grant and the business data that access allows, such as products, orders, posts, ad accounts and campaign results.
- Usage. Records of what was made, approved, published or spent, and the credits each piece of work used.
Usage recording during the beta
During the beta, Merchanting Watch records the public welcome page and anonymous navigation between app sections to help us improve the product. Onboarding and private app screens are represented only by their section name; their content is not recorded. Typed values, private work, conversations, customer details, credentials and URL identifiers are excluded. Replays are available for 7 days and accessible only to authorized Merchanting operators. Choose “Usage privacy,” then “Stop recording,” to turn it off at any time. Nothing is recorded when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
How we use it
- To run the service for your business: reading your sources, making the drafts you ask for, and publishing, scheduling, sending or launching only what you approve.
- To measure results you asked us to track, and to improve the work we make for your business.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
We don’t sell personal data. We don’t use your business data to target advertising at you. We don’t use one business’s data to make work for another business.
Connected platforms
- Meta. Data from Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Meta ad accounts is used only to provide the features you requested for your business: publishing your approved posts, managing your ads, and reading their results and comments. It is not shared with data brokers or used for any other purpose, and it is deleted when you disconnect or ask us to delete it.
- Google. Merchanting’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. YouTube data is used only to publish your approved videos and read their results.
- TikTok and other platforms. Data is used only to publish your approved content, run your approved ads and read their results, under each platform’s own terms.
Credentials for connected accounts are encrypted and bound to your business. They are never shown in the app’s screens or APIs, or to its agents.
Who processes it
We use service providers to run Merchanting. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Hosting and storage: OpenAI Sites, which runs on Cloudflare.
- AI models: OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, OpenRouter, fal and ElevenLabs. They receive the content needed to make the work you asked for, under the settings your business chooses.
- The platforms you connect: these receive what you approve to publish, send or launch.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account or business is active. When you delete a business, disconnect a service or ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record.
Your choices
- You can disconnect any connected account at any time. Merchanting stops using that access immediately.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. Email teamleader@teamk9.com, or see Data deletion.
Security
Access is limited to the people and businesses you invite. Credentials are encrypted, and nothing is published, sent or spent without an approval step.
Children
Merchanting is for businesses and people 18 or older. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
